Mikodez is quite possibly physically unable to keep track of what Axel says for any extended period of time, but that doesn't mean he doesn't like him. He feels that 'like' is a better, and probably more appropriate, word than saying 'fascinated by him'.

He does enjoy lying on the floor of the common space, watching him zoom around. Contemplating temptations but ready to cheerfully engage in conversation.
