"They're definitely not the same as the ship," B says, shaking his head. "Our Admiral used to have a different one, then stole the one we were on more recently when he thought the Authority was going to impound us all and do. Well, maybe this, split us up between other ships, or maybe just send us all home and disband his power. What I don't know is if the ship has an awareness outside of the officer in charge of them. I think they might, but it's a little hard to tell. Communicating with ships directly is... tricky."
