She looks almost Shu to his eye, and there is no love lost between Grisha and Shu Han; but Kirigan has known a handful of people from every background that were worth the investment, so he doesn't dismiss her for that either.

He considers her, giving himself time to think over his food, to enjoy the at least temporary state of having a clear mind.

"What does the san mean?" he wonders. "And do you have a preference?"

"It's like saying 'mister' or 'miss': basic courtesy," which is easy enough to explain given that she's given that information out more than a few times over her time here.

"I'm more used to Sawamura-san until we know each other a little better. Do you have a preference?"

He does, but it's one of the things he keeps closest to his heart, secret in the only way he can keep it such when the Assistants here are given a file with all the details he never told anyone for them to merely read.

He won't give that one. Instead he smiles, tips his head just so graciously, and says, "Kirigan will do for the time being, Sawamura-san." He pronounces it exactly as she has, taking pains to be accurate with this unfamiliar custom. "We'll see how we proceed for anything further."
